He knows his time is drawing near.
His life has been a whirlwind of fire and fury;
yet some farewells do not arrive in crashing waves.
They linger in the quiet company of a black cat,
in birdsong by the window,
in a bouquet of flowers, a shared meal,
and in the starlight and moonlight over the Walled City.

And so, through his final seasons,
he quietly walks past familiar alleys and storefronts,
moving through the most ordinary sights of the city.
These seemingly ordinary moments become the last glimpse he leaves behind.

It was never merely a city of legend, but a place where people lived, loved, and said goodbye.
